Today, we will be starting our unit on To Kill a Mockingbird. This unit will deal with the challenging topic of racism and what that meant for a group of kids growing up in the south.
To begin:
- Please get out a netbook and log in to your computer.
- Log in to Google Drive.
- Create a new document in your shared folder with me. This is where you will answer the questions to the activity for today.
- Visit this website: Here you will be working in an assigned topic to read about and answer the questions connected with that topic. You will work independently until your questions are finished.
- If you are working on Jim Crow Laws, use these links for your answers. Link 1 and Link 2
- When everyone has finished, students with the same topic will meet and share their responses. From this, I want the group to create a presentation about the topic. BE prepared to share with the class. You may use Google Drive, but other options are acceptable as well.
